Purpose of Institutional Bridge Groups

Bridge groups communicate and interpret the work of the TDL for their local institutions and guide the integration of their institutional repositories with the TDL.

The bridge group role is a key to component in building the local support structure necessary to optimize a member institution's investment in the TDL. In most cases, the TDL bridge group will be the same group responsible for setting direction for the member institution's local repository; this is a seminal role in the institution's overall strategy for digital content management. At the same time, as a primary conduit for communication between the institution and the TDL, the bridge group plays an active and essential role in communicating institutional needs to TDL staff and providing an institutional voice on TDL priorities.

TDL Bridge Groups are welcome to use this section of the wiki to collaboratively document their activities.
